Black Ops 6 Ranked Play is now live for players seeking more intense competition, adhering to the rules of the Call of Duty League. This ranked mode offers exclusive cosmetic rewards for reaching specific milestones, including a champion skin reserved for the season's top player.

Unlike Black Ops 6's Prestige ranks, Ranked Play is tailored for the most committed players, featuring multiplayer matches with settings, maps, modes, and weapon restrictions mirroring COD's official esports league. To gain access, players must first achieve 50 wins in match-made multiplayer games, with all wins since the game's release counting towards this requirement, even if they were earned before Season 1.

Ranked Play has undergone slight adjustments from previous COD titles, with the ranking system streamlined. In Black Ops 6, players progress through eight ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crimson, Iridescent, and Top 250. Skill Rating (SR) is earned through victories and can be lost through defeats.

Rewards for Ranked Play include Ranked Skins for the Competitor operator, starting from Gold rank. These skins are unlocked immediately upon reaching a new rank, except for the Top 250 and Champion skins. The pinnacle reward, a highly exclusive Champion skin featuring a flaming, crowned, skull-headed operator, is one of the most coveted in Black Ops 6.

Additional rewards can be unlocked by hitting certain milestones in Ranked Play, such as the Ranked Competitor Skin, Knife Blueprint, Frag Grenade Skin, win-tracking Gunscreen, and more. Each season introduces unique seasonal rewards available only during that season.

Cross-play is mandatory for Ranked Play, meaning console players may face PC players in all matches. This decision has been met with mixed reactions, with many fans advocating for an option to disable cross-play in this hyper-competitive mode.
