BMW is commemorating 30 years of operations in Mexico with a special-edition M2. The BMW M2 Coupe 30 Years Edition offers two available paint options, but unlike the standard M2, it comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. Limited to just 30 units, this special edition is available in either Frozen Portimao Blau metallic (matte blue) or Frozen Pure Grey metallic (matte grey). Each vehicle will be equipped with BMW's adjustable bucket seats upholstered in red and black Merino leather. Inside, you'll also find carbon fiber trim and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.

The BMW M2 Coupe 30 Years Edition will feature all the same updates as the regular M2 for 2025. This includes 473 horsepower from its twin-turbo inline-six engine—an increase of 20 horsepower over the previous model. Additionally, it boasts new badging, a redesigned steering wheel, and an updated interior with the latest version of iDrive. There's no confirmation if the new silver-painted wheel option for 2025 will be available on the 30 Years Edition, though based on BMW's released photos, it seems unlikely.

Like all M2 models, the 30 Years Edition will be produced at BMW's Lerma facility in Toluca, west of Mexico City. BMW began production at this site in 1994 with the E36-generation 3 Series. As a result, this special edition M2 will only be available to customers in Mexico. And it won't come cheap. BMW is pricing the M2 30 Years Edition at $2,149,900 MXN, or approximately $107,650 at current exchange rates. This is about $20,000 more than the standard M2 in Mexico, or $43,000 more than the base model in the US. Given the limited production run, BMW likely won't struggle to find buyers.
