A bomb explosion in southwestern Pakistan claimed the lives of two children and injured 16 individuals on Saturday, according to police officials. Among the injured were seven policemen, who were hurt when a remote-controlled bomb, affixed to a motorcycle, exploded close to the police headquarters in Pishin. The city's senior superintendent of police, Manzoor Buledi, informed Reuters about the incident. 'Explosives were placed on a motorcycle that was parked in the area,' stated police officer Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, who also noted that the two children were passing by when the explosion took place. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed profound sadness and sorrow over the incident, referring to the deaths of the young children as martyrdom. In a public statement, he offered his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured policemen and other affected individuals.
