Bruno Fernandes has earned accolades from fellow passengers after the Manchester United star assisted a man who fell ill during a flight to Lisbon on Monday. Fernandes, who contributed a goal and two assists in United's 3-0 Premier League triumph over Leicester City on Sunday, was en route to Portugal to join his national team for their Nations League encounters against Poland and Croatia.

Susanna Lawson, a fellow traveler, recounted to UK outlet Business Cloud that she heard a call for help shortly after Fernandes had visited the restroom at the rear of the plane. "Bruno was supporting a gentleman who appeared to be losing consciousness. I'm unsure if he fully lost consciousness or not," Lawson stated. "There was an empty seat at the back where Bruno helped the gentleman to sit. He remained with him, ensuring he was alright."

Portugal will host Poland on Friday before traveling to Croatia on November 18.
