Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, was released from prison on Thursday after obtaining bail in a case related to the illegal sale of state gifts. This marked the end of her approximately nine-month imprisonment. Bibi, who was arrested in January, was released from Adiala Jail in the garrison city of Rawalpindi. Khan is also incarcerated in the same jail, having been imprisoned since August of the previous year.
