The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has implemented fresh directives to address grievances concerning boarding problems linked to Passenger Name Record (PNR) information, as reported by Pakistani media. According to the latest guidelines, the CAA has stipulated that passengers should not be barred from boarding due to discrepancies in PNR details at the time of ticket purchase and travel. This decision was made in response to multiple complaints from travelers who were prevented from boarding because their PNR details did not match between booking and travel. The CAA has instructed all airlines to ensure that passengers are not denied boarding based on PNR inconsistencies, as per Pakistani media. Airlines are now mandated to strictly follow this instruction. They must also revise their PNR policies on their websites to ensure transparency and avoid future inconveniences for passengers. Furthermore, travel agents have been directed to adhere to these policies during the booking process, thereby minimizing the chances of passengers encountering issues at boarding.
