Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to undergo another transformation this week with the introduction of fresh free content. Players can look forward to a new map variant, game mode, and event, along with updates to the Battle Royale mode, Blackout. Leading the charge is a Hurricane variant of the Contraband map, accompanied by a new multiplayer mode called Stockpile. Developed by Treyarch, Stockpile is a reimagined version of the Fracture mode from Black Ops 3, where players must defeat enemies and deliver their dog-tags to a designated deposit site.
The multiplayer segment will also feature a St. Patrick's Day event dubbed Shamrock & Awe, though the specifics of this event remain undisclosed. Blackout will receive a spring-themed map update, and a Hardcore mode is on the horizon. This mode strips away armor, vehicles, zombies, and the HUD for a more challenging gameplay experience.
Zombies will not be left out, with a new Gauntlet named Hellcatraz being added. Additionally, host migration will be implemented in the Zombies mode, aiming to minimize game drops due to connection issues. While many of these updates will go live shortly, some are currently exclusive to PlayStation 4; refer to the graphic above for platform-specific details.
Black Ops 4's Operation Grand Heist recently commenced, introducing a new Specialist and three weapons. Blackout welcomed a Ghost Town area, and Zombies received another Gauntlet.
