A minor update was released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on November 8, featuring several fixes across multiplayer and Zombies modes, along with another adjustment to the overpowered Recon Combat Specialty bonus. The update also introduces a playlist change that increases player counts for more chaotic multiplayer matches.

The Recon Combat Specialty bonus in Black Ops 6 essentially provides players with a brief wallhack after respawning, highlighting enemy players on the map in red. This feature was highly overpowered at launch, prompting a recent update that reduced the duration from 2 to 1.5 seconds. However, this change was deemed insufficient, leading Treyarch to further reduce the highlighted duration to just 1 second.

Treyarch has also addressed issues with XP earn rates, including a problem where the match bonus was incorrectly scaled across game modes, and an error that prevented match bonuses from being awarded in Search and Destroy.

Additionally, the update refreshes the multiplayer playlists for Black Ops 6, adding Stakeout 24/7 to the rotation. A new 10v10 Moshpit playlist is introduced, featuring a mix of Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on the standard 6v6 maps.

For Zombies mode, the update patches an exploit that allowed certain field upgrade Augment effects to persist beyond their intended duration, and another that enabled players to launch tactical rafts into the air on Terminus.

The full patch notes can be found below, as shared by Activision. Season 1 is set to arrive in Black Ops 6 and Warzone on November 14, bringing new multiplayer maps, 7 DLC weapons, another Zombies map, and the integration of Black Ops 6 into Warzone. These Featured Playlists are scheduled to go live at 10 AM PT, following the publication of these notes. Treyarch will continue to monitor data and feedback on Combat Specialties throughout post-launch.
