The Season 1 update for Call of Duty's Black Ops 6 is now live, introducing a new battle pass, additional weapons, and fresh multiplayer maps. While Zombies mode won't see a new map until Season 1 Reloaded, the update does introduce the return of Gobblegums, a feature from Black Ops 3's Zombies mode.
Gobblegums are special gumballs that provide various temporary or one-time use abilities to aid players in their battle against zombie hordes. These abilities can range from upgrading weapon rarity, granting free perks, reviving teammates, to even teleporting players out of harm's way.
The Season 1 update also brings a variety of new cosmetic bundles to the in-game shop, including Gobblegum packs for Zombies players. Currently, the shop offers packs ranging from 200 CoD Points ($2) for a set of three gums to a premium pack of 12 high-end Gobblegums for 1,100 CoD Points ($10).
It's important to note that Gobblegums are an optional item, and Black Ops 6 makes it simpler than previous years to acquire them for free. Players can earn Gobblegums randomly while playing Zombies, and double-XP events can sometimes boost the rate at which they are earned.
Gobblegums are featured in the Season 1 battle pass and are likely to be available as rewards in future events. The battle pass includes over 100 items to unlock, such as two new weapons, the operator Sev, and numerous cosmetic weapon blueprints. More details on the Season 1 content can be found here.
