As the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 draws near, Activision has unveiled a host of new accessibility features designed to enhance the gaming experience for a broader audience. Scheduled for launch on October 25, the game introduces several innovative options, including HUD presets, customizable high-contrast settings, and a specialized arachnophobia setting for the Zombies mode.

Activision emphasizes that their commitment to inclusivity in Call of Duty has been a longstanding priority. The publisher notes that nearly half of all players utilize the accessibility settings menu, highlighting its importance. 'With the launch of Black Ops 6, we're thrilled to introduce additional accessibility updates and features that empower players to tailor their gaming experience,' Activision states.

Black Ops 6 builds upon the accessibility features first introduced in Modern Warfare 3, such as graphical adjustments to minimize motion blur and joystick settings. New additions include an asymmetrical hearing compensation setting, crafted with veterans and players with hearing impairments in mind. This feature allows for individual customization of audio settings for each ear, significantly enhancing the auditory experience for those with asymmetrical hearing loss.

The game also introduces a Reduce Tinnitus Sound setting, alongside enhanced visual accessibility options. High Contrast mode, initially available only in the campaign, is now accessible in both campaign and Zombies modes. Players can customize the color outlines of allies and enemies, making the game more accessible for those with vision impairments and color blindness. Additionally, a 'Dark Background' setting further increases contrast, aiding players with low vision.

For those who find visual clutter distracting, Black Ops 6 offers HUD layout presets and color adjustments for the minimap. The Zombies mode, featuring spider-like enemies, includes an arachnophobia setting that visually alters the appearance of these enemies without impacting gameplay mechanics.

Another notable feature is the ability to pause, save, and reload solo matches in Zombies mode, though this is restricted to solo play and only when the player is at full health. Activision believes this feature will significantly benefit players in the fast-paced, intense gameplay of Zombies.

Lastly, Activision confirms that the Xbox Adaptive Controller and Sony's Access controller are fully compatible with Black Ops 6, ensuring a seamless experience for all players.
