Cantiere delle Marche has successfully launched the 45-metre custom explorer yacht, Tremenda, during a ceremony at their Ancona, Italy, facilities. This marks the first public sighting of the vessel since construction commenced in March 2022. Originally referred to as Project T, Tremenda was commissioned in 2021 by an experienced owner who closely collaborated with the team throughout the design and development phases.
The yacht's design, crafted by Giorgio Maria Cassetta, features a distinctive, squared-off exterior that seamlessly connects an almost vertical bow to a welcoming transom, which houses a generous beach club. The lower deck accommodates up to eight guests in four spacious suites. The owner's suite, located on the main deck, offers a full-beam apartment with his and her bathrooms, a dressing room, and a private lounging area.
A significant aspect of the design is its emphasis on outdoor connectivity. Large windows on both the main and upper decks provide an intimate connection with the surrounding environment, while ample outdoor spaces are dedicated to lounging and dining. According to Cassetta, "This project is the result of over a year of meticulous refinement, conducted in close collaboration with the owners, involving numerous productive design iterations." He further added, "It is the bold vision of an experienced client brought to life, representing a statement of essential and pure design, where form and function work in harmony to deliver an unparalleled experience for the future users."
Powered by twin MAN V12-1400 engines, Tremenda can reach a top speed of 14.5 knots and boasts an extended cruising range of 4000 nautical miles, ensuring the yacht can explore the farthest corners of the globe with its new owner.
