Italian shipbuilder Cantieri di Pisa has unveiled the inaugural model of its fresh Saturno series, the Saturno 56, which spans 56 meters in length. This vessel joins a fleet of four other yachts, ranging from 38 meters to the 90-meter flagship, dubbed the Super Saturno 90. The exterior design, crafted in-house, features a classic stern, expansive "ribbon windows," and distinctive hull striping.
"This series embodies a traditional layout that echoes Cantieri di Pisa's classic design elements while catering to the modern owner's desire for spaces that blend relaxation and activity," stated Antonio Luxardo, the yard's lead designer. The interior, designed by Milan's m2atelier, presents a symmetrical arrangement with minimalist touches such as coffered ceilings, three-dimensional wooden accents, and mini spotlights, drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics. The yacht offers accommodation in six cabins.
Additional design features include a glass-bottom pool, a gym on the sundeck, and a beach club accessible via a transverse staircase linking the main and upper decks. The Saturno 56 will be equipped with twin 1,600hp Caterpillar engines, with the yard considering hybrid propulsion options. The EHPH (Eco High Power Hull) will facilitate extended cruising ranges and lower fuel consumption. This development comes on the heels of the yard's custom division securing a sale of a 37.5-meter explorer yacht to a French client.
