As attention is focused on Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom has introduced a fresh mobile game in the franchise titled Monster Hunter Outlanders. This new addition is available on both the App Store and Google Play. Capcom is collaborating with TiMi Studio Group, renowned for their contributions to Call of Duty Mobile and Pokemon Unite.

Monster Hunter Outlanders is characterized as an open-world survival game, supporting both solo and co-op modes for up to four players. The announcement trailer, which can be viewed below, notably does not feature any combat scenes. Instead, it highlights mobility, showing a player paragliding, swimming, sliding, using a grappling gun, climbing a cliff, and even being launched from a cannon-like device.

A key element of the Monster Hunter series is the challenge of taking down colossal creatures and utilizing their parts to craft new armor and weapons. According to a press release, Monster Hunter Outlanders will include 'the traditional hunting experience,' although this aspect is not prominently displayed in the initial trailer.

"Monster Hunter Outlanders not only delivers an authentic hunting experience but does so in a vast open world that incorporates the community and social systems modern players seek," stated TiMi producer Dong Haung in the press release.

The game is set to release soon on mobile devices, though a specific launch date has not been announced. In the interim, several playtests for Monster Hunter Outlanders are planned.

The next major installment in the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A few weeks ago, the game's beta attracted nearly 500,000 concurrent players on Steam alone.
