Thirty-five individuals lost their lives and 43 others were injured when a vehicle drove into pedestrians on Monday evening in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, according to local police reports on Tuesday.
"A severe and malicious incident took place at the Zhuhai Sports Centre, where the perpetrator deliberately crashed a car into people who were exercising, leading to 35 fatalities and 43 casualties," the police stated in an official release.
