The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled the timetable for Grade 10 and 12 board exams for the academic year 2025, with the exams set to commence on February 15, 2025.
For the first time, the date sheets were made public 86 days prior to the start of the exams. The board noted that this is 23 days earlier than the release in 2024, attributing the early announcement to the prompt submission of the LOC by schools.
The comprehensive date sheet is now available on the official CBSE website, ensuring a reasonable interval between subjects typically taken by students in both grades. The exams will commence at 10.30am daily.
The CBSE Secondary School Examination 2025 will run from February 15, 2025, to March 18, 2025. Key dates include the science exam on February 20, 2025, and the social science exam on February 25, 2025. The mathematics exam is scheduled for March 10, 2025, and the Hindi exam for February 28, 2025.
For the CBSE Senior School Certificate Exam 2025, the exams will span from February 15, 2025, to April 4, 2025. Notable dates include the physics exam on February 21, 2025, and the mass media studies exam on March 7, 2025. The chemistry exam is set for February 27, 2025, and the business studies exam for February 22, 2025. The geography exam will be held on February 24, 2025.
The CBSE has meticulously prepared the date sheet to avoid scheduling conflicts for over 40,000 subject combinations. This early release of the exam schedule allows students ample time to prepare, reducing stress and enhancing performance. Families and teachers can also plan their schedules, including summer vacations and evaluation duties, without disrupting non-board class studies. Schools, particularly those serving as exam centers, will have sufficient time to organize their academic activities accordingly.
