The Grammy-winning rapper, 32, was among the first to voice her frustration on social media after it was announced on Wednesday that Trump would be returning to the White House.

Taking to Instagram Live, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Cephus, read aloud a comment from a fan suggesting she should attend Trump's inauguration. "I swear to god I’m gonna f–k you up, get away from me," she said in the video, which had over 37,000 views. "I’m sick of you! Burn your f–king hats, motherf–ker. I’m really sad. I swear to god I’m really sad."

Cardi B also expressed her pride in Vice President Kamala Harris, whom she spoke alongside at a rally in Milwaukee last week. "No matter what, I know that she’s probably emotional right now. I know there’s probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she’s not listening to this, but she will eventually see it," she said. "I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the world are proud of her. Women of color are proud of her."

Alec Baldwin, known for his impersonation of Trump on "SNL," shared a photo of a black screen on Instagram without any caption. Actress Christina Applegate also took to social media to express her anger at the result, while Bravo's Andy Cohen shared his frustration, stating, "We will persist, we will move forward."

Yvette Nicole Brown called the election result a "disgrace," while John Cusack and Kevin McHale also shared their dismay on social media. Mary Trump, the former president's niece, expressed her deep disappointment, writing, "I am so deeply sorry. I thought better of us."

Author Stephen King weighed in on the result, writing, "There’s a sign you can see in many shops that sell beautiful but fragile items: LOVELY TO LOOK AT, DELIGHTFUL TO HOLD, BUT ONCE YOU BREAK IT, THEN IT’S SOLD. You can say the same about democracy."

Wendell Pierce warned of the potential consequences of Trump's return to the White House, while Susie Dent shared a tongue-in-cheek post on X, defining the word "recrudescence" as "the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve."
