Kyogo Furuhashi scored twice as Celtic maintained their dominant start to the season with a 6-0 victory over St Johnstone in Perth. The Japanese forward netted either side of Paulo Bernardo's goal in the closing stages of the first half. Callum McGregor extended the lead with his fourth long-range strike of the season, Daizen Maeda found the net after his earlier effort was controversially disallowed, and substitute Adam Idah completed the scoring. Brendan Rodgers' team has now won their first nine games of the season, scoring 33 goals in the process, and has extended their winning streak to 17 matches dating back to last term. With Auston Trusty filling in for the injured Cameron Carter-Vickers in central defense, Celtic continued their clean sheet record in the Scottish Premiership this season following their sixth match.

Aberdeen continued their flawless start to the league season with a narrow 2-1 win over Dundee at Dens Park. The Dons scored twice in the first half through Kevin Nisbet and Topi Keskinen, before Simon Murray pulled one back for the hosts before the break. Despite Dundee's dominance in the second half, they could not find an equalizer, leaving Aberdeen with six wins from six.

Lawrence Shankland ended his scoring drought for the season as his stoppage-time equalizer helped managerless Hearts end an eight-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw at home to Ross County. The bottom-of-the-table Edinburgh side, under interim charge of Liam Fox following Steven Naismith's sacking, looked set for another defeat until Shankland's first goal of the campaign earned them their first point since drawing with Rangers in their opening match.

Ross Graham's last-minute penalty denied Kilmarnock their first league win of the season as Dundee United salvaged a 3-3 draw in a thrilling game at Rugby Park. United had led at half-time through Louis Moult's goal, but David Watson's spectacular volley and finish put the hosts ahead. Marley Watkins' goal seemed to secure the win for Kilmarnock, but VAR intervened, leading to a penalty that Graham converted to secure a draw.

Lennon Miller was the hero for Motherwell again, scoring twice to defeat St Mirren 2-1 at Fir Park. The 18-year-old, who scored the winning penalty in last weekend's Premier Sports Cup semi-final, inspired a comeback victory with another standout performance. Miller converted a penalty to cancel out Killian Phillips' early opener and scored his second just before half-time to secure the win for Stuart Kettlewell's team.
