Singer-songwriter and co-founder of the rock band Coldplay, Chris Martin experienced an unexpected mishap while performing in Australia, as reported by People. During the final show of their four-night stint at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium, Martin was engaging the crowd with anecdotes from their global Music of the Spheres World Tour when he accidentally fell through an open trap door.
A fan who managed to capture the incident on video shared it on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption, "The moment Chris Martin fell through a trap door right in front of me at the #Coldplay concert tonight." Martin quickly reassured the audience, saying, "That's not planned!" He then jokingly added, "Holy..., that was nearly a YouTube moment!" according to People magazine.
Coldplay's extensive international tour, which commenced in March 2022, is set to conclude in September 2025 with a 10-day residency at London's Wembley Stadium. Following their Melbourne performance, Martin, along with guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, will head to Sydney to wrap up their Australian leg before continuing to New Zealand.
In addition to their ongoing tour, Coldplay is gearing up to release new music. In June, the band unveiled their 10th studio album, Moon Music, accompanied by the single feelslikeimfallinginlove.
