A Cirrus SR22 training aircraft experienced an incident on Friday at the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA). According to an Emirates spokesperson, there were no injuries. The spokesperson also confirmed that the incident will be investigated and Emirates is fully cooperating with the authorities.
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred with this aircraft model; a similar event took place in October of the previous year, with no injuries reported then either. Established in 2017, EFTA serves as Emirates' dedicated pilot training center. The Cirrus SR22 G6 forms the core of the training fleet and is based at Dubai South, Dubai World Central (DWC).
