City Football Schools’ prestigious Talented Player Programme (TPP) has welcomed six more players into the elite football setting of Abu Dhabi’s Al Jazira Football Club, solidifying its status as a premier platform for nurturing young football talent. This week, TPP Under-16 players Elias, Feli, and Tafara transitioned from the sky-blue of CFS to the black and white of Al Jazira, providing them with the chance to grow within the framework of a top UAE professional club and compete regularly against other professional teams, with the ultimate aim of securing a spot in the first team.
The trio joins Itqan, Zein, and Kais (Elias’s brother) at The Pride of Abu Dhabi. Backed by e&, the TPP’s partner since 2022, the program offers both boys and girls a comprehensive development platform that includes advanced City coaching methods, a rigorous schedule of competitive matches both locally and internationally, and opportunities to train with City Football Group clubs worldwide.
Feli from Abu Dhabi, who has been part of the program for four years, remarked: “TPP has been instrumental in shaping me into the best version of myself, equipping me to handle challenges, and providing top-notch coaching. It’s a truly proud moment for me to move from TPP into the Al Jazira Academy.”
Elias from Dubai shared: “I feel TPP has prepared me both mentally and physically. They have enhanced my skills in every aspect. Signing with Al Jazira is a significant milestone as it’s a professional club, and I aspire to achieve great things here and continue my football journey.”
Simon Hewitt, Head of Football Operations for City Football Schools, Middle East, commented: “Seeing our players secure spots with professional clubs underscores the effectiveness of our City Football Schools pathway, including the Talented Player Programme. It’s a testament to our commitment in developing children both on and off the field, guiding them into elite environments like Al Jazira.”
