Romantic drama Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (RHTDM) is poised for a theatrical re-release. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on August 30. Thrilled about the re-release, producer Jackky Bhagnani, in a statement released by his team, expressed, "This film is incredibly special to me as it marked my debut as an Assistant Director (AD). I was quite young then, and being part of the AD team provided me with the remarkable chance to collaborate closely with Maddy, Saif, and Dia on set." He continued, "It was profoundly inspiring to observe such skilled actors at work and to contribute to what has become a cult classic. Even now, the film remains hugely popular among the youth, with its timeless melodies that still resonate fresh and captivating. We are truly delighted to reintroduce this to our audiences for their enjoyment." RHTDM originally released in 2001. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the romantic drama was a remake of his own Tamil film Minnale, also released in 2001. A few years back, rumors circulated online about plans for a sequel. However, in 2020, Madhavan dismissed these rumors regarding a sequel to RHTDM. The actor, known for his role in 3 Idiots, clarified on Twitter that he had no knowledge about a potential sequel to the beloved love story released years ago. "#RHTDM ..Guysss ...been hearing rumors about the sequel .. and hoping it's true-cause I have no idea about this," he tweeted. He humorously added that both he and co-actor Dia Mirza are now significantly older than during the original film's release in 2001, and joked that any sequel should feature an "age-appropriate" script for them. With RHTDM, Mirza made her Bollywood debut. Songs such as Sach Keh Raha Hai, Dil Ko Tumse, and Zara Zara continue to be cherished by audiences.
