Columbus Yachts, a brand under the Palumbo Group, has revealed the sale of its inaugural Crossover 47 to a European buyer. The delivery is scheduled for 2027. Designed by Hydro Tec, this 47-metre steel and aluminium vessel boasts a classic white exterior with sharp, angled surfaces and darkened windows that span the length of the yacht. In a nod to traditional explorer yachts, the concentration of volumes is centered in the bow area. The interior design, meanwhile, is the work of Milan-based studio Hot Lab.
According to the Italian shipyard, the yacht epitomizes “a perfect blend of flexibility and functionality, designed to maximize comfort on board and optimize every space.” Although interior renderings are not yet available, the Crossover 47 will provide accommodation for up to 12 guests, including two doubles, two twins, and a full-beam master cabin on the main deck. The master suite features a wardrobe, vanity desk, office, and double bathroom. The main deck will also house a spacious lounge area and dining table, with a pantry and galley located forward.
Outdoor spaces on the upper deck will feature a round outdoor table that seats six but can expand to accommodate ten, along with an internal lounge and entertainment area. The sun deck, in addition to offering ample sunbathing and relaxation areas, will include a large bar and a second swimming pool. At the stern, the yacht is designed to carry a tender of up to 3,000kg, with the space capable of transforming into a “relaxation oasis.”
On the technical front, the yacht is powered by twin CAT C32 engines, delivering a top speed of over 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She boasts a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots. The Crossover 47 is also equipped with two pairs of stabilizers with zero-speed functionality.
Columbus Yachts recently unveiled the first interior images of its custom 50-metre Anjelif following her delivery the previous month.
