Columbus Yachts, a brand under Palumbo Superyachts, has unveiled the first interior images of its bespoke 50-metre superyacht, Anjelif. This announcement comes shortly after her delivery last month, with the yacht currently showcasing her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. The engineering for Anjelif was handled by Palumbo, with both the exterior and interior designs crafted by Marco Casali of Italian studio Too-Design. Naval architecture was provided by Hydro Tec, catering to the seasoned owner Maria Francesca Angelini.
Distinctive features of Anjelif include her champagne hull and several technical innovations, such as hybrid diesel-electric propulsion and advanced onboard sanitisation systems. The yacht employs cold plasma technology to neutralise airborne viruses and bacteria, integrated into both indoor ventilation and air conditioning. A secondary system ensures interior spaces remain fresh through automated cleaning at scheduled intervals.
The layout of Anjelif includes five guest cabins, comprising a main deck master suite and four double cabins on the lower deck. Additionally, there are seven crew cabins accommodating up to 11 crew members. The owner's quarters boast a massage room, office, gym, wardrobe, and a dual-purpose work desk and vanity. The en suite bathroom features a double sink in yellow quartz, a Jacuzzi, a large mosaic Hammam, and a separate sauna cabin. A fixed balcony adds to the private amenities available to the owner.
Reflecting the owner's preferences, Anjelif's interior extensively uses natural materials like oak, Canaletto walnut, matte rose gold metal, and a dining table with a precious oyster shell top. The sundeck serves as a significant social area, equipped with two adjustable sunloungers, an eight-person table, a large bar, sofa seating, and a custom Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads and additional seating. A swimming pool with an exposed teak finish is located on the main deck aft, complemented by a second Jacuzzi on the top deck.
Other notable features include a touch-and-go helipad on the bow that transforms into an open-air cinema when not in use. The hybrid system, engineered by Palumbo, utilises two 100kW electric motors to achieve speeds of around nine knots in diesel-electric mode. When combined with the propulsion motors, the system can function as shaft generators, enabling navigation with the gen-sets off. The yacht also incorporates a state-of-the-art lithium battery pack for backup electricity, ensuring no blackouts during transient phases.
Anjelif, with a gross tonnage of 499GT, is powered by twin MTU diesel engines, each delivering 1,939kW, allowing for a top speed of 20 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. This news follows the recent announcement that Columbus Yachts has laid the keel for the first unit in its 37-metre Atlantique series, with delivery slated for 2025.
