As authorities strive to maintain the country's safety, they acknowledge the community's crucial role in these security efforts. Authorities across various emirates have established platforms where individuals can report any suspicious activities they observe. Here’s a guide to the different platforms in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi that enable community members to report malpractices and crime-related information to the authorities.

Dubai
In the emirate, community members can report potential crimes or security threats through the Dubai Police's 'Police Eye' service. This service is accessible via the authority's website, app, police stations, and even petrol stations. The identity of the informant is kept confidential. Here’s how to use the service online:

Select the type of report you wish to make – traffic report, general report, child and women protection, human trafficking. Depending on the report type, you may need to provide personal details such as mobile number, residential address, email address, your relation with the victim (in case of women and child protection), and the type of assistance requested. Then, fill in the details of the report, describing the situation and any additional information. Attach any relevant documents and complete the captcha before submitting the form. The service is free and may take up to 5 working days. The informant does not need to be at the location of the potential crime.

Individuals can also report instances of corruption or customs-related malpractices through the Dubai Customs service – Rafed. This can be done via their website, email, SMS, or phone. The informant's identity is kept confidential, and submissions can include trade agency violations, trademark and copyright violations, and any safety and security-related information. On the Dubai Customs website, navigate to e-services for individuals, select customs clearance, and then submit Rafed information. After clicking 'start service,' you will be redirected to the Dubai Trade website, where you need to provide your mobile number, the submission subject, a description, and any attachments.

Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Police offers the 'Aman' service, which allows vigilant individuals to help detect and reduce crime across various fronts. The channel is available 24/7 and maintains the informant's confidentiality. To access Aman, click on the menu on the top-left of the Abu Dhabi Police website or contact them at 8002626. You can report information through six categories: scam and fraud, blackmail, mendicity, online crimes, drugs, and security cases. To submit information, fill out the form on the Abu Dhabi Police website with the category, case title, case details, your name, mobile number, and email. For emergencies, contact 999.

Sharjah
In Sharjah, the Najeed service allows individuals to report suspicious security phenomena anonymously, according to the Sharjah Police website. The service can be accessed through the website or mobile app by clicking on services at the top, selecting policing services, and then finding Najeed. You can also contact them at 800151. Fill in your name, number, email address, case subject, and case details, complete the captcha, and submit. Additionally, the Guard service under policing services allows individuals to report specific crimes at particular locations. The informant can choose whether or not to be contacted. After selecting the location from the map and the crime type, fill in any details and attachments, verify the captcha, and submit.

Ras Al Khaimah
Through the Aawin service on the RAK digital government website, cases of customs evasion and contraband smuggling can be reported to Ras Al Khaimah Customs. All reports and information are confidential, and the informant can choose not to include personal data. After logging in with UAE Pass, fill in the details of the case or incident observed, attach supporting documents (if any), and submit the form. The informant will receive an SMS and/or email with the reference number of the filed report. Depending on the report, the informant may receive a reward and will be contacted by Ras Al Khaimah Customs.
