Work on the Atlante Classic 25 is advancing, marking the inaugural vessel in Atlante Yachts' 34.5-metre explorer series. The hull and superstructure have now been united, with the yacht undergoing construction at Mengi Yay's facility in Tuzla, Turkey. The experienced Northern European owner is expected to take delivery in spring 2025.
The Atlante Classic 35 represents a contemporary take on the full displacement explorer yacht, with Atlante Yachts adhering to an all-Italian design philosophy. VYD Studio is responsible for both the exterior and interior design, while Arrabito Naval Architects will handle the naval architecture. The yacht will offer accommodation across five en suite cabins. Interior renderings showcase a modern, fresh aesthetic with floor-to-ceiling windows, light-wood wall panelling, and a soothing color scheme of blues and greys. The design process involved significant input from the owners, including the selection of premium Italian materials and fabrics.
Leisure amenities include a beach club with a folding transom and extensive entertainment spaces spread across three decks. The hardtop sundeck serves as the primary communal area, featuring fixed sunpads, an al fresco dining area with U-shaped sofa seating, and a dry bar. "With the layout of the Atlante Classic 35, we aimed to achieve a perfect balance within the constraints of length, beam, and a high volume of 330GT, typically found in vessels several metres longer," explained Paolo Dose of VYD Studio. "This ensures a harmonious equilibrium between accommodation, living spaces, exterior areas, and technical zones."
Powered by twin Volvo Penta engines, the Atlante Classic 35 will boast a cruising speed of 11 knots and a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. According to BOATPro, Mengi Yay currently has seven other hulls in various stages of construction. The shipyard recently completed the first unit in its 47.5-metre series, Serenissima I, which is set to debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
