Custom Line, a brand under the Ferretti Group, has unveiled the fifth unit of its flagship planing series, the Custom Line 140 (CL140). This 42.7-metre vessel is a product of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, responsible for the exterior styling, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, which managed the interior design. The exterior boasts a distinctly sporty look, characterized by taut lines, a sharp bow, and dark plate glass. Key specifications include an 8.5-metre beam and a draft of 2.4 metres.
This unit draws inspiration from residential architecture and incorporates 'fine materials' such as natural teak, eco-leather, and a selection of grey and blue marble in the bathroom areas, aiming to evoke 'the colours and movements of the sea'. The sporty, contemporary theme extends indoors with metallic paint and metal mesh details integrated throughout. The CL140 series offers a maximum speed of 21.5 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots.
According to BOATPro, Custom Line currently has three yachts in build or on order, with the largest being from its 49.9-metre flagship series, the Navetta 50. The first unit, named Asante, made its debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
