Cyclone Asna, which was expected to hit the Arabian Sea, has not directly affected the UAE, according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA). The Joint Assessment Team evaluating the cyclone has declared that it has now dissipated. UAE authorities had been tracking the tropical storm as it made landfall in the Arabian Sea. Early assessments suggested that the extreme weather conditions would not directly affect the country, NCEMA announced on Saturday.
