Dallas Jenkins, the creator of the highly praised series The Chosen, has released the first trailer for his new directorial venture, Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The Lionsgate holiday movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 8, offering a touching narrative just in time for the holiday season, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Judy Greer takes the lead as Grace Bradley, whose character embarks on a journey after volunteering to direct her church's yearly Christmas pageant. However, her initial excitement quickly transforms into a daunting task when she discovers that the involvement of the troublesome Herdman children could derail the entire production.

Directed by Jenkins, who co-wrote the script with Platte F. Clark, Darin McDaniel, and Ryan Swanson, Best Christmas Pageant Ever is adapted from Barbara Robinson's cherished 1972 novel of the same title, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film also features Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright, and Lauren Graham in significant roles. Discussing his method to faith-based narratives in Hollywood, Jenkins expressed his viewpoint to The Hollywood Reporter: "If we think faith is significant in our culture, then why can't we create content like other Hollywood creators with their own messages or goals? The finest filmmakers are those who are personal and have a distinct voice. I wondered, 'Why can't I have my voice?'"
