Starting today, October 1, fans can rent or purchase the movie on digital platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV+. The film will also be released on 4K Blu-ray and DVD on October 22. Although Testicular Cancer Awareness Month is officially in April, it's always a good time to get checked, as Hugh Jackman emphasizes after a 'routine' self-examination guided by Deadpool. Wade Wilson, Deadpool's alter-ego, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in the first movie, which led to an experimental procedure that activated his mutant abilities. Both Jackman and Deadpool highlight in the clip that testicular cancer is highly treatable if detected early.
Deadpool and Wolverine marks the third installment in the Deadpool trilogy and the sole Marvel Studios release for the year. It also serves as a farewell to over two decades of 20th Century Fox/Studios films, including X-Men, Fantastic Four, Elektra, and Blade. Wesley Snipes set a Guinness World Record for the longest career as a Marvel character, surpassing Jackman.
