The death toll in Myanmar has risen to 113, with over 320,000 people displaced, according to the junta's statement on Sunday.

"Across the nation, 113 individuals have perished, 64 are unaccounted for, and 14 have been injured," stated spokesman Zaw Min Tun as of September 14th. He further noted that "more than 320,000 people from 78,000 households have been relocated to temporary relief camps."

Torrential rains have battered Myanmar, exacerbating ongoing conflicts, following Typhoon Yagi's landfall in Vietnam on September 7th. The storm has devastated infrastructure and triggered fatal landslides throughout the area.

Floods and landslides have claimed nearly 350 lives in Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand since Typhoon Yagi struck the region last weekend. Additionally, the typhoon wreaked havoc in southern China and the Philippines, resulting in at least 24 deaths and numerous injuries.
