Deccan Gladiators delivered a crushing defeat to Morrisville Samp Army, who had been performing exceptionally well in the round-robin stage of the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. This victory secured a spot in the final for the two-time champions, marking their fourth consecutive and fifth overall appearance. Powered by outstanding batting performances from their captain, West Indian Nicholas Pooran, and England's Tom Kohler-Cadmore, the Gladiators set a formidable target of 147/2 in just 10 overs. Pooran remained unbeaten on 72 off 33, featuring five sixes and four fours. Kohler-Cadmore contributed a half-century before being dismissed for 51 off 24.

Morrisville Samp Army began their chase positively, scoring 13 runs in the first over. However, the Gladiators' bowling unit quickly regained control. England pacer Richard Gleeson dismissed Charith Asalanka for just one run in the second over, setting the tone for regular wickets. Samp Army struggled to keep up, eventually being restricted to 102/5. Jack Taylor top-scored with 25 not out off 14, while wicketkeeper batter Andries Gous scored 22 off 14 and South Africa's Faf du Plessis contributed 21 off 10.

For the Gladiators, Usman Tariq, Gleeson, and David Wiese were instrumental in the victory. Tariq's bowling figures of 2/19 in 2 overs were crucial in containing the opponents' scoring rate. Gleeson and Wiese each claimed one wicket, contributing to the team's overall success.
