Swedish studio 10 Chambers unveiled Den of Wolves at last year's Game Awards, making it fitting that this year's event showcased the first gameplay trailer. As highlighted in the trailer below, the game is produced by Payday co-creator Ulf Andersson and promises an exhilarating experience.

Den of Wolves is a cooperative first-person shooter that also functions as a heist game. Players team up to execute stealth operations and undertake "unauthorized errands" for clients within the futuristic setting of Midway City. However, plans can sometimes go awry, necessitating a shootout to escape trouble.

While not an open-world game, the narrative is driven by the mythology and history of Midway City. According to 10 Chambers' Simon Viklund, the city is envisioned as "a believable near-future metropolis where late-stage capitalism has spiraled out of control, with corporations dictating the rules." Players start as blank slates, immersing themselves in the criminal underworld, forming alliances, and taking on black market jobs.

The teaser did not reveal an early access date, but Den of Wolves is already available for wishlisting on Steam. Meanwhile, check out all the winners from The Game Awards 2024.
