Blizzard is conducting another PTR (Public Test Realm) for Diablo 4, where players can test new features and content set to arrive in Season 7 next year. The 2.1 update test period will run from December 3 to 10, offering PC players a preview of what's to come.
One of the standout features in the 2.1 PTR is the Armory, which allows for easy swapping between different character builds. Players can save, load, and name their favorite builds, with five slots available per character. Loadouts will store equipped items, Paragon Board and Glyphs, skill selections, and class mechanics, making it simple to switch between setups.
The update also introduces Witchcraft, with three new schools of Hawezar sorcery: Eldritch, focusing on destructive energies and polymorphy; Psyche, a defensive magic centered on mind and spirit; and Growth & Decay, which balances healing and harming. Players must complete seasonal tasks, including new Whisper bounties and defeating Headrotten enemies, to earn Restless Rot. This currency can be exchanged at a Coven's Altar to unlock and upgrade Witchcraft powers.
Seasonal content includes hunting the new Headrotten enemy, found in Headhunt subzones and Roothold micro-dungeons. Unique boss variants like the Headless Husk and Fugitive Head offer rewards such as Occult Gems, which can be placed in items for unique effects. Gelena crafts Occult Gems using Restless Rot, Gem Fragments, and Fugitive Heads.
The PTR will also feature new Runes, Legendary Aspects, and Unique Items, enhancing players' demon-crushing abilities. To participate, download the PTR via the Battle.net app and copy a character from your main account. Use the PTR boost NPC in Kyovashad to prepare for the new content.
