Diablo IV is set to expand this month with the release of its first major expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Scheduled to launch on October 7, this add-on is available as a premium purchase for all versions of the game across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, despite the base game being on Game Pass.
Vessel of Hatred comes in multiple editions, including a collector's edition known as the Ultimate edition. This post aims to help you choose the best version for your needs by summarizing each edition.
While Diablo IV is accessible on Game Pass, subscribers must still purchase Vessel of Hatred separately. However, Game Pass subscribers enjoy a 10% discount, making the price slightly more affordable.
The standard edition of Vessel of Hatred is priced at $40, or $36 with Game Pass Ultimate. It includes the expansion itself and, for those who preorder, two bonuses: the Alkor the Snow Leopard pet for Diablo IV and the Mother's Lament legendary gem for Diablo Immortal, both unlocking immediately.
The $90 bundle, or $81 with Game Pass Ultimate, includes the expansion, preorder bonuses, and a one-month subscription to Game Pass Ultimate for preorderers. Non-preorderers receive the Nahantu Veilwalker Spiritborn armor and immediate access to these items in Diablo IV.
The $70 bundle, or $56 with Game Pass Ultimate, offers copies of both Diablo IV and Vessel of Hatred, along with the aforementioned preorder bonuses.
