Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has commenced construction on DIFC Square, a significant development and commercial venture consisting of three interconnected structures. This project will include office spaces and retail units, substantially enhancing DIFC's real estate portfolio and addressing the increasing need for top-tier offices in Dubai's financial hub.
Kazim, the Governor of DIFC, stated, "As DIFC fortifies its status as a premier global financial center, prominent regional and international companies are setting up in the Centre to expand their networks and business across the MEASA region and beyond. DIFC Square will be a crucial addition to DIFC's expanding real estate assets by offering cutting-edge, Grade A office environments tailored to meet the high demand for superior, forward-thinking commercial spaces."
Propelled by the growth in wealth and asset management and the insurance sector, DIFC Square has attracted strong tenant interest, highlighting the strategic importance and prime location of the project, and reflecting the robust demand for DIFC's high-end urban commercial properties. Strategically located within DIFC, the project provides easy access to Downtown Dubai, Dubai International Airport, Sheikh Zayed Road, and other major business and leisure spots.
Developed on a 113,500 sq.ft. site, with a total built-up area of nearly 1 million sq.ft., DIFC Square's future occupants and employees will enjoy convenient access to DIFC's most popular destinations, including Gate Village for upscale dining, lifestyle, arts, and culture, and Gate Avenue's wide array of dining, fitness, and retail options. Offering 600,000 sq.ft. of office space, DIFC Square will also feature 17,200 sq.ft. of retail space, including a select variety of shops and food and beverage outlets. With the foundational and enabling works progressing smoothly, construction of DIFC Square is being expedited to ensure completion by Q1 2026. The project includes three buildings of 8, 10, and 13 floors, sharing one basement and three podiums, with heights of 58, 68, and 81 meters respectively.
