Batman enthusiasts can immerse themselves in Rocksteady's Arkham universe over the next few weeks, both on the page and soon in virtual reality. The highly anticipated Batman: The Arkham Saga Omnibus was released this week, gathering an impressive array of top-tier comic book stories set in the world of the acclaimed game series. The substantial 1,648-page Batman: The Arkham Saga Omnibus is currently available for $107 in hardcover on Amazon, significantly lower than its $150 list price. Not surprisingly, this new Batman comics omnibus has claimed the top spot as the best-selling new release from DC on Amazon.

You have a few weeks to delve into this collection before re-entering the virtual realm with Batman: Arkham Shadow, a Meta Quest 3 exclusive set to release on October 22. Arkham Shadow is bundled with the brand-new Meta Quest 3S, launching on October 15 with a starting price of $300, and the Meta Quest 3, which has seen a substantial price reduction. With Batman: Arkham Asylum achieving blockbuster status upon its release in 2009, DC Comics swiftly produced additional content for fans to explore. This omnibus compiles all the Arkham comic book backstories, from Batman's early days in Batman: Arkham Origins to the intense narratives of Batman: Arkham Knight Genesis and everything in between.

The comprehensive list for this collection includes several excellent mini-series and one-shots, all featuring some of DC's finest creators. Notably, Batman: Arkham Unhinged, a digital-first series, has been included in this omnibus. While it was later reprinted in traditional comic book form, its inclusion here is a welcome addition. Another highlight of this hardcover is the Arkham City series, illustrated by Carlos D'Anda, who collaborated with Rocksteady to create unique redesigns for Batman and his adversaries in the Arkham games.

It's fascinating to explore how these games were developed, and there's an outstanding book detailing this process, though it's currently out of print and thus expensive. If you haven't yet played all three Rocksteady Arkham games, you can grab the Batman: Arkham Collection for just $7.49 until the end of the week on Fanatical, a sister site to GameSpot. The collection includes Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight—unfortunately, Arkham Origins is not included—and an 86% discount is a deal hard to pass up. Not only do you get a selection of well-aged games, but you also receive all their DLC and expansion pass content.

If you're keen on a replay, these games unlock superb concept art, character models, and more. Batman: The Arkham Saga isn't the only new 2024 omnibus or graphic novel featuring the Caped Crusader and his Gotham City foes. One standout is the Absolute Batman edition of Grant Morrison's and Dave McKean's Arkham Asylum, which, unsurprisingly, inspired and lent its title to Rocksteady's first Batman game. The Absolute Batman: Arkham Asylum was released in August and is currently available for 25% off on Amazon. Additionally, Frank Miller's The Dark Knight: The Master Race received the Absolute Batman treatment this month, and you can also save on that hardcover.

The premium Absolute Batman hardcover series is fantastic, but it's not the only series where classic Batman stories are being reissued. DC is also re-releasing some stellar Batman books in collections called DC Finest. The first book in this new series is Batman Year One & Two, a $40 paperback with nearly 600 pages, set to release on November 5. Below, we've listed more new and upcoming Batman graphic novels, omnibuses, and new editions of legendary stories in chronological order by release date. Most of these new Batman books are also discounted.
