Don't dismiss the Hellcat too soon. The last 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 model in Dodge's range, the Durango Hellcat, remains in production. Dodge has just introduced a new special edition named the Silver Bullet, featuring a range of exclusive cosmetic enhancements.
The Durango Hellcat Silver Bullet is adorned in a silver hue aptly named Triple Nickel. It boasts a contrasting satin black hood, complementing the black exhaust tips and grey metallic badges. The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch wheels in a deep grey shade called Lights Out, which encase six-piston Brembo brakes with red calipers.
Inside, the Silver Bullet is equipped with Ebony Red Nappa leather seats, featuring embroidered Hellcat logos on the seat backs, along with extensive carbon fiber trim and suede accents on the steering wheel and headliner. Mechanically, the Silver Bullet remains identical to the standard Durango Hellcat, offering 710 horsepower from the renowned V-8 engine, with power distributed to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. It offers seven drive modes, allowing adjustments such as rpm settings for launch control and personalized shift lights.
Priced at $113,325 before destination fees (which Dodge has yet to disclose), the Silver Bullet is approximately $11,000 pricier than the previous year's base Hellcat model. Acquiring a new Hellcat-powered vehicle in 2024 is indeed a costly affair. Additionally, Dodge introduces the 2025 Durango R/T 20th Anniversary edition, commemorating two decades of the Durango's Hemi V-8. This edition includes distinctive exterior and interior features such as unique fender badges, a hood graphic, 20-inch forged wheels, and the Tow N Go package, which enhances braking, exhaust, and towing capabilities up to 8,700 pounds. It starts at $70,470, excluding destination charges.
