Dutch shipyard Doggersbank has introduced two new models to its explorer series at the Cannes Yachting Festival: the 90 Offshore, which spans 27.3 metres, and the series' flagship, the 32-metre 105 Offshore. Northrop & Johnson has been named the exclusive European agent for this range.
The exterior design is the work of Vripack, who revitalized the brand earlier this year with the 23.5-metre 77 Offshore. The latest models feature more angular fashion plates, increased glazing, and a slanted bow, resulting in a more robust design compared to their predecessors. Key highlights of both models include expansive outdoor living areas, an eight-person Jacuzzi on the upper deck, and enhanced storage capabilities, including flexible loose storage boxes and space for a tender on the aft deck.
Both models can accommodate eight guests, with the 105 Offshore offering a full-beam owner's suite and additional crew quarters for five. "We identified a demand for larger models that can better integrate contemporary technologies and provide more usable space for guests and crew," explained Joost Mertens, sales director at Doggersbank.
He added: "Patrick Coote of Northrop & Johnson, with whom we have a long-standing and collaborative partnership, recognized a gap in the market for capable, custom, and well-designed explorers supported by naval architectural expertise. This insight encouraged us to build on our existing designs and develop a model that meets this specific need." The two yachts also provide hybrid propulsion options and larger battery banks for "silent cruising."
