Nintendo has now made the entire Donkey Kong Land trilogy available on Switch Online. Today, Donkey Kong Land 3 has been added to the subscription service, though fans are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Donkey Kong 64. Sorry, but the DK Rap will have to wait a bit longer.
Originally released in 1997 for the Game Boy, Donkey Kong Land 3 features Dixie and Kiddy Kong as they embark on a quest to find the Lost World. Similar to previous entries, they must navigate through 36 levels while facing off against the Kremlings.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Nintendo introduced Donkey Kong Land to Switch Online, followed by Donkey Kong Land 2 last week. Looking forward, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is scheduled to launch next month on Switch, offering a remastered version of the Wii game.
Nintendo has been steadily expanding its Switch Online catalog with new games. Tetris for NES is set to arrive on December 12, and three Sega Genesis titles were added to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack last week.
Switch Online costs $20 per year for individual subscriptions, while the premium Expansion Pack option is priced at $50 annually. The basic tier provides access to the Game Boy library, including the Donkey Kong Land trilogy, while the Expansion Pack tier includes Genesis titles and Nintendo 64 games, among others.
