Dragon Age: The Veilguard continues to receive updates from developer BioWare, with the latest patch addressing several bugs and enhancing the overall gameplay experience. The third update, released on November 21 for both PC and consoles, brings improvements to photo mode, input mappings, and visual elements.
For photography enthusiasts, photo mode now includes filters, and screenshot file names have been streamlined to display the date taken. Additionally, the in-game file path for screenshots is now visible, a feature particularly beneficial for PC users. Quality-of-life enhancements include the ability to bind arrow keys to input mappings, compare new rings against both equipped slots, and a clearer view to identify enchantments on companions' equipment. The Glint option description in settings has been refined, new icons have been added for certain weapons, and players are now notified when the Crossroads' Spirit Merchant is available.
The patch also addresses a wide range of bugs, fixing issues such as incorrect music playback, HDR calibration saving correctly between sessions, camera stutters, and various crashes. A complete list of fixes can be found on BioWare's blog.
In GameSpot's review of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, editor Jodan Ramée highlights its captivating visuals, diverse party companions, the robust character creator, and engaging combat mechanics, which vary depending on the chosen class.
