A drone was launched towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home in the northern Israeli town of Caesarea on Saturday, according to his spokesman. The spokesman added that the premier was not in the vicinity at the time and there were no casualties.
Earlier, the Israeli military reported that a drone had been launched from Lebanon and had struck a building. The nature of the building was not immediately clear. Additionally, two more drones that crossed into Israeli territory were intercepted by the military.
There were no reported casualties, according to the Israeli ambulance service. Police also stated that explosions had been heard in Caesarea, the coastal town where Netanyahu has a holiday home.
The drone attack was not immediately claimed by the Lebanese Iran-backed group Hezbollah, which has been engaged in sporadic clashes with Israel since last October, or by any other militant group.
