International sensation Dua Lipa made headlines with her unexpected rendition of a fan-created mashup featuring her hit song Levitating and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan's popular track Wo Ladki Jo from the film Baadshah during her concert in Mumbai on Saturday night. The internet was abuzz with excitement, as social media platforms were inundated with videos of the Levitating X Woh Ladki mashup. However, Jay, the son of renowned singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, expressed his discontent on Instagram, criticizing both social media users and media outlets for neglecting his father's contribution to the song while discussing Dua's performance.
Jay wrote, "The issue is that no one addresses it. What about Woh Ladki Jo - Abhijeet? Sadly, in our country, not a single news outlet or Instagram page has acknowledged the voice and the artists behind this song. Why is it always about actors here? I'm certain that when @dualipa heard this song, she must have listened to it, not just seen it, and appreciated the man who sang it, and yes, it's not SRK." He continued, "It's @abhijeetbhattacharya and @anumalikmusic. I'm sorry, but this song is called Woh Ladki Jo sabse alag hai - Abhijeet, wherever you look for it. Yet, the media in this country never gives a singer his due, and then people wonder why I don't try to sing for Bollywood. This isn't about Shah Rukh Khan. I'm his biggest fan. This is about our audience and our media, who don't support our country's singers the way they do in the west."
Meanwhile, Dua is gearing up to perform in Seoul. After an unforgettable night in India, Dua shared her gratitude to Mumbaikars on Instagram. "Thank you Mumbai!!!!! Off to our next and FINAL stop of the Asia run... SEOUL!!!!!," she wrote, accompanied by a few pictures she took in the city. This marks Dua's third visit to India, following her performance in 2019 and her recent vacation in Rajasthan earlier this year.
