Participants from both nations lauded Expand North Star as a premier platform for networking with investors, clients, and potential partners, exchanging knowledge, and exploring successful models for developing cutting-edge digital technologies. The event also offers invaluable guidance on establishing and scaling startups, aiming to turn them into billion-dollar 'unicorn' enterprises.
The Korean pavilion at this year's exhibition showcases over 100 startups specializing in areas such as artificial intelligence and deep technology. These companies are presenting a diverse array of solutions, from AI voice cloning to digital dentistry and educational technology. Meanwhile, Indian tech startups demonstrated innovative solutions ranging from robotics and employee engagement platforms to training technologies and software/IT solutions. The Indian startup ecosystem is renowned for its dynamism, robust ability to attract substantial investment, focus on growth and profitability, and adoption of future-oriented technologies including AI.
Seungho Lee, Head of Marketing at Braindeck, an AI voice cloning service, commended the UAE's cultural and investment openness. He noted that Dubai's business incubators and specialized free zones are significant draws for Korean companies. 'This welcoming environment, along with the success of Korean giants like Samsung and LG in Dubai, further solidifies the city's appeal for Korean startups,' Lee remarked.
Adviteey Mehaindroo, CEO of Zinkus, a robotics company returning to Expand North Star for the third time, emphasized Dubai's thriving tourism industry as a major catalyst for robotics and AI adoption. 'Dubai's receptive market has enabled us to secure orders,' Mehaindroo added, underscoring the city's potential for business growth.
Chiranjeevi Aneel Kumar Bonu, Founder and CEO of TalentSpotify, an AI-powered employee engagement platform, praised Dubai's diverse population, ease of doing business, and embrace of innovation as crucial factors in selecting the city as their launchpad.
