Dubai-based Pakistani entrepreneur Imran Chaudhry, the chairman of Cinergie Group, passed away in the UAE on Monday. The funeral prayers will be conducted tomorrow after Asr prayer at Al Quoz cemetery in Dubai.

Chaudhry was a pivotal figure in the Pakistan Business Council, Dubai, having co-founded it and served twice as its director. The Pakistani business community in Dubai and Abu Dhabi has expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences on his passing.

Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, acknowledged Chaudhry’s significant contributions to the Pakistani business community and his community services. “He was a founding member of the Pakistan Business Council, and his contributions were substantial. During my tenure in the UAE from 2007 to 2010, Imran was an active community member who regularly participated in meetings,” the ambassador noted.

Iqbal Dawood, president of the Pakistan Business Council, expressed the community’s grief over Chaudhry’s demise. “His contributions to community service are immense. He was deeply involved in charitable activities, notably raising funds for Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Pakistan,” Dawood shared with Khaleej Times.

Irfan Afsar, former president of PTI in UAE, conveyed his condolences, saying, “We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Imran Chaudhry. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength to his family to endure this irreplaceable loss.”
