Certain bus routes in Dubai will experience temporary diversions due to ongoing maintenance on Al Maktoum Bridge, as per the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). These routes will cease serving specific bus stops from September 29, 2024, until January 23, 2025. The affected routes include: 10, 23, 27, 33, 88, C04, C05, C10, C26, E16, X28, and X94.
Additionally, buses traversing Al Maktoum Bridge will be rerouted via Al Garhoud Bridge. Al Maktoum Bridge will operate under semi-operational hours until January 16, 2025. The bridge will be closed from Mondays to Saturdays between 11pm and 5am, and will be entirely closed for 24 hours on Sundays.
The RTA has also identified certain bus stops that will not be operational during the diversion period. These stops include: Dnata 1, Dnata 2, City Centre Metro Bus Stop 1-1, Oud Metha Bus Station 7, Umm Hurair, Road 2, and Rashid Hospital Roundabout 1.
Furthermore, Route 23 will commence and conclude at Deira City Centre Bus Station, bypassing Oud Metha Bus Station. The RTA communicated these changes through its S'hail app.
