Dubai Courts has introduced a new service package designed to simplify judicial processes for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. This initiative allows for the exemption or postponement of legal fees for those who are unable to afford them, along with providing financial support and assistance in paying debts for members of these groups. These services are accessible through the Dubai Courts' call center, website, or physical service centers throughout the emirate.
According to Mohammed Al Obaidli, the Executive Director of the Claims Management Sector at Dubai Courts, the package includes several key services: 'Shore' offers voluntary legal consultation in collaboration with certified law firms in Dubai; 'Sanad' provides voluntary legal representation in partnership with accredited law firms; 'Aoun' supports financially insolvent litigants who cannot afford expert services in their cases, in collaboration with approved service providers; and 'Courts of Goodness' assist individuals with outstanding debts due to judicial rulings by Dubai Courts. Additionally, 'Al Adheed Services' offers free services at Al Adheed Centers for the targeted groups, which include priority services in service centers, priority call center services, dedicated parking, and rooms for video calls.
His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, the Director General of Dubai Courts, emphasized the court's dedication to facilitating access to judicial services for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities, highlighting the importance of transparency, efficiency, and the swift delivery of justice. Al Obaidli added that the launch of this package underscores their commitment to delivering exceptional and dependable judicial services, promoting social sustainability and cohesion, and fostering an environment of equality and social justice.
