Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum spearheaded the Dubai Run on Sunday, November 24, as thousands of participants gathered on the emirate’s renowned Sheikh Zayed Road. Clad in a grey shirt and sporting the blue registration number 003, Fazza—as he is affectionately known—led the 10km route, joined by a multitude of runners dressed in green. This event once again demonstrated that Dubai is among the world’s most fit cities.

The run commenced shortly after 6:30am, with police vehicles, including a cyber Tesla truck, ensuring safety. The video of the event can be viewed here: Abu Dhabi resident Siddique and his family drove to Dubai on Saturday night, parking their car at a relative’s house to attend the event. “We only slept for an hour and arrived at the starting line at 5am,” he recounted. “This is an event my family and I never miss. The atmosphere and energy are truly extraordinary.”

The free run concluded the 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), transforming the city into an open gym.
