A driver was apprehended in Dubai for exceeding the speed limit on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) at an alarming 220kmph, according to the police's announcement on Friday.

The motorist was not only fined Dh50,000 but also faced the impoundment of the vehicle, as stated by the Dubai Police. A video disseminated by the police captures the car's dashboard, clearly displaying the speedometer reading 220kmph. Here is the video clip:

The footage seems to be from the driver's perspective. If it is discovered that the driver was using a mobile phone while operating the vehicle, it would constitute another grave violation, subject to severe penalties. The case has been forwarded to the Public Prosecution for further legal actions.
