Dubai introduced a mental wealth framework on Monday, designed to establish a thorough care model encompassing early detection, intervention, enhancement, and prevention. The Dh105-million initiative will implement various programs aimed at identifying early signs of mental and emotional distress or reduced positive energy in individuals.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) highlighted that the project also intends to offer essential care, support, and counseling to bolster psychological and community resilience. The framework emphasizes the importance of the educational setting, aiming to equip school staff and parents with tools to foster students' psychological development. It also targets boosting satisfaction and happiness levels within the community, according to a DHA press release.

A series of studies will be carried out to continuously monitor and enhance psychological and community stability, focusing on key groups such as the elderly, children, individuals with disabilities, and those suffering from chronic illnesses. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, the DHA's director-general, underscored that mental wealth is crucial for the health and well-being of the community, and is a top strategic priority for global cities, particularly in the face of modern life's fast pace.

This framework was crafted to support Dubai's diverse and harmonious community, drawing on the latest best practices in promoting mental well-being. Achieving this goal necessitates a scientific and systematic approach to handle the stresses and demands of daily life and their possible repercussions.
