A cutting-edge smart home security system has been introduced in Dubai, designed to detect unusual movements within residential properties. Announced at Gitex Global, the Dubai Police revealed their collaboration with e& UAE to launch this innovative system, aimed at significantly enhancing home and property safety.

According to information provided on the Dubai Police website, the system utilizes advanced motion detectors capable of distinguishing between routine activities and potential security threats. Door and window sensors are discreetly installed at entry points, immediately alerting a 24/7 monitoring center upon detecting any unauthorized openings. A touchscreen hub serves as the central control unit, allowing users to manage all connected devices with ease.

Masood M Sharif Mahmood, CEO of e& UAE, emphasized: “For the first time in the UAE, we are integrating IoT-based home security systems with immediate police response to detected movements. This marks a substantial advancement in transforming residential areas into smart, secure environments.” The system incorporates state-of-the-art IoT sensors to detect unusual activity, supported by surveillance cameras that are monitored continuously by security centers managed by e& UAE, ensuring rapid response to any suspicious activity.

The system can also be directly linked to a specialized operating room, facilitating immediate action to verify any detected irregularities. “Customers will receive alerts via a mobile app when any movement is detected, and they can choose to manage the system themselves or connect it to a specialized operating room,” the police stated.

As the technology provider, e& UAE will manage the system from customer registration through to installation, maintenance, and technical support. The Dubai Police will oversee the integration for customers who opt to connect the system to the specialized operations room.
